The Victory Elegant is a 30 inch stainless steel wall-mount chimney hood with a quiet 600 CFM internal blower. Simple rotary knobs, stainless baffle filters and a telescoping chimney make it a solid, no-fuss choice for a 30 inch range on a standard 8 to 9 foot ceiling.

Installing it
How it goes in
We sell Victory hoods but don't install them. These steps summarize Victory's installation manual so you and your installer know what's involved. Always follow the manual and local codes.

Test first
Plug the hood in on a flat surface and check the fan and lights before mounting.

Plan the vent and power
Mark the 6 inch duct path and place a 120V outlet inside the chimney area, at least 76 inches from the floor.

Add backing
Cut the drywall and screw plywood to the studs. Do not hang the hood on drywall anchors alone.

Mount the hood
Attach the 6 inch transition, then screw the hood to the backing 24 to 30 inches above the cooktop.

Connect the duct
Run 6 inch metal duct to a roof or wall cap with a damper and seal every joint with aluminum tape.

Chimney and filters
Install the chimney bracket, slide the upper chimney up to the ceiling, then fit the grease tunnel and baffle filters.

Frequently asked questions
Does it have to vent outside?
Yes. Victory says this hood must be ducted to the outdoors through the roof or a side wall using 6 inch round metal duct. It does not include a recirculating option.
What duct size does it need?
6 inch round metal duct, top exhaust. Victory recommends rigid duct, no reducers, and stepping up to 8 inch for long runs. The straight-run maximum is 50 feet, minus 9 feet for each 90 degree elbow and 5 feet for each 45.
How high above the cooktop should it go?
Between 24 and 30 inches from the cooktop to the bottom of the hood, per the manual. Check your range maker's clearance too.
Will it fit my ceiling?
The included two-piece chimney fits 8 to 9 foot ceilings. Victory sells chimney extensions for 10 and 12 foot ceilings.
How do I power it?
It comes with a cord and plug. You need a 120V outlet on a separate 15 amp circuit, placed inside the chimney area so it is hidden.
What is the warranty?
Victory covers the motor for life and parts for 5 years for the original purchaser. Lights and filters are consumables and are not covered.
