Overview
Victory Hurricane 36 Inch Under Cabinet Range Hood
The Victory Hurricane 36 inch is a heavy, pro-style under cabinet range hood for people who cook hot and often. It is 24 inches deep, so it reaches out over the front burners where a lot of smoke escapes from shallower hoods. Simple rotary knobs run the fan and lights, with no touch screen to fail.
Deep 24 inch canopy
Reaches out over the front burners, where shallow hoods let smoke slip past.
Knobs that just work
Mechanical rotary switches for fan and lights. No touch panel to fail in heat and steam.
Easy grease cleanup
Stainless baffle filters and a grease tunnel lift out, and the filters go in the dishwasher.

Installing it
How it goes in
We sell Victory hoods but don't install them. These steps summarize Victory's installation manual so you and your installer know what's involved. Always follow the manual and local codes.
- 1
Test it first
Unbox, check for damage, plug it in and run the fan and lights before mounting. Remove the filters and grease tunnel until the hood is up.
- 2
Plan height and duct
Set the hood 28 to 36 inches above the cooktop and plan an 8 inch (or 10 inch) metal duct route to the outside.
- 3
Attach the transition
Screw the round duct transition onto the top outlet with the supplied M5 screws.
- 4
Cut the cabinet
Cut openings in the cabinet bottom for the transition and the power cord, and drill pilot holes that line up with the hood's top mounting holes.
- 5
Mount and connect
With two people, lift the hood and screw it to the cabinet bottom and wall studs (wood screws not included). Connect the duct and seal every joint with aluminum foil tape.
- 6
Finish
Plug in, check the fan and lights, then slide in the grease tunnel and baffle filters.
We sell the hood, not the install
We don't install. A contractor, with an electrician for the power, should follow the maker's manual. Questions while you plan? Call us at (508) 419-4276.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How high above the cooktop should the Hurricane go?
Victory's manual says the bottom of the hood should be 28 to 36 inches above the cooktop. Also check your range maker's clearance rules.
What size duct does it need?
It needs 8 inch round metal duct at minimum, and Victory recommends 10 inch for long runs. Do not reduce to 4, 5 or 6 inch duct, which cuts suction and adds noise. The duct must vent outside.
Can it vent out the back?
Rear venting is a factory option that must be ordered before the hood ships. Changing from top to back vent on site can be difficult. This listing is the standard top-vent hood.
How do I clean the filters?
The stainless baffle filters and grease tunnel lift out. The filters are dishwasher safe. Victory suggests cleaning them about every 30 hours of use.
Does it plug in?
Yes, it comes with a wire and plug. It needs a 120V outlet on its own 15 amp circuit, and an electrician should confirm the wiring and grounding.
How much air does it move?
Victory's manual rates the Hurricane at up to 1000 CFM. Victory's website lists 1200 CFM when the optional 10 inch duct is used. Duct size, length and elbows all affect real airflow.
