Overview
Victory Q6 21 Inch Range Hood Insert Power Pack
The Victory Q6 is a compact 21 inch range hood insert, or power pack, that hides inside a small wood hood or a standard 12 inch deep cabinet. Its 4-speed, 600 CFM all-metal motor vents through a 6 inch round duct. It is a good fit when you want a slim built-in hood over a smaller cooktop or inside a narrow hood design.
Small size, 600 CFM
A 4-speed all-metal motor moves up to 600 CFM from a 20-1/2 in wide insert.
Fits 12 inch cabinets
At 11-3/4 in deep at the lip, it fits a standard 12 inch deep cabinet with a 19 x 10 in cut-out.
Timer clears the air
Press the fan button once more and it runs 3 more minutes, then shuts off.

Installing it
How it goes in
We sell Victory hoods but don't install them. These steps summarize Victory's installation manual so you and your installer know what's involved. Always follow the manual and local codes.
- 1
Test it first
Plug the hood in and check the fan and lights before it is enclosed.
- 2
Cut the cabinet bottom
Cut a 19 in x 10 in opening, at least 3/4 in from the wall. The cabinet needs front doors for access.
- 3
Add wood blocking
Fasten fire-rated wood blocking inside the cabinet to hold the hood.
- 4
Slide it in and fasten
Lift the hood into the opening and screw it to the blocking through the pre-drilled side holes.
- 5
Connect the duct
Attach the 6 in transition and run 6 in round metal duct to a wall or roof cap. Tape every joint with aluminum foil tape.
- 6
Plug in and add filters
Plug the hood into its outlet and fit the filters.
We sell the hood, not the install
We don't install. A contractor, with an electrician for the power, should follow the maker's manual. Questions while you plan? Call us at (508) 419-4276.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Will it fit in a standard 12 inch deep cabinet?
Yes. Victory lists it at 11-3/4 in deep at the lip. Cut a 19 in x 10 in opening in the cabinet bottom, at least 3/4 in from the wall.
Can I use it in a wider wood hood?
The lip is only 20-1/2 in x 11-3/4 in, so the hood needs a bottom panel with Victory's 19 x 10 in cut-out. It can't hang in a wide open bottom.
How loud is it?
Victory's manual rates it at 1.0 sones on the lowest speed and 6.0 sones on the highest.
Does it have to vent outside?
Ducting outside through 6 inch round duct is the standard setup. Victory's manual also shows a ductless option using charcoal filters (ordered separately) and louvred vents in the cabinet.
Are the filters dishwasher safe?
Victory's manual says the aluminum filters are not dishwasher safe. Soak them in degreaser, rinse and dry, about every 30 hours of use.
How high should it hang above my cooktop?
Victory recommends 24 to 30 inches from the cooktop to the bottom of the hood, with 28 inches as the sweet spot.
What is the warranty?
Victory's manual gives a 5-year parts warranty to the original purchaser. Bulbs and filters are not covered.
