Overview
Victory Twister MAX Island 36 Inch Island Range Hood
The Victory Twister MAX Island is a 36 inch island range hood with a double-chamber, all-metal blower for heavy cooking. It is built from 19 gauge stainless steel, runs on simple rotary knobs, and has dishwasher-safe baffle filters. Made for big islands and cooks who use high heat.
Built for high heat
A double-chamber, all-metal blower with four speeds handles searing and frying.
Deep 28-1/4 inch canopy
A deep hood gives smoke and steam more room to be caught over a busy island.
Dishwasher-safe filters
Stainless steel baffle filters and grease tunnels lift out and clean in the dishwasher.

Installing it
How it goes in
We sell Victory hoods but don't install them. These steps summarize Victory's installation manual so you and your installer know what's involved. Always follow the manual and local codes.
- 1
Test and plan
Plug the hood in and test it first. Mark the hood's center on the ceiling and check room for 8 or 10 inch duct.
- 2
Add ceiling support
Screw two 2x4s (wall vent) or 2x10s (roof vent) between the joists, then run the duct and a ceiling outlet between them.
- 3
Mount the frame
Screw the support frame to the ceiling and set the extension arms to the height you need.
- 4
Hang the hood
Fit the foam gasket and the 8 or 10 inch transition, then lift the hood onto the arms and fasten it. This takes three or more people.
- 5
Connect and test
Join the duct with foil tape, plug the hood in and check the fan and lights.
- 6
Finish
Raise the upper chimney to the ceiling, then install the filters and grease tunnels. Installation should be done by a qualified pro.
We sell the hood, not the install
We don't install. A contractor, with an electrician for the power, should follow the maker's manual. Questions while you plan? Call us at (508) 419-4276.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What size duct does it need?
It comes set up for 8 inch round duct, and a 10 inch transition is included. Victory's manual rates it at 980 CFM on 8 inch duct and 1180 CFM on 10 inch duct. Use metal duct only, vented outside.
What ceiling height does it fit?
Victory's drawing shows chimney options for 8 ft and 9 ft ceilings. For 10 ft or 12 ft ceilings, Victory makes a duct cover extension for the Twister MAX Island.
How high should it hang above the cooktop?
Victory recommends 28 to 36 inches between the cooktop and the bottom of the hood.
Is it hardwired or plug-in?
It comes with a cord and plug. You need a 120V outlet in the ceiling, on its own 15 amp circuit, hidden inside the chimney.
Can it recirculate instead of venting outside?
No. Victory's manual says the duct must end outside, through a roof or wall cap.
What is the warranty?
Victory gives a lifetime motor warranty and a 5-year parts warranty to the original purchaser.
