Installing it
How it goes in
We sell Victory hoods but don't install them. These steps summarize Victory's installation manual so you and your installer know what's involved. Always follow the manual and local codes.
- 1
Test it first
Unbox, check for damage, plug it in and run the fan and lights. Remove the filters and grease tunnel until the hood is mounted.
- 2
Plan height and duct
Set the hood 28 to 36 inches above the cooktop and plan an 8 or 10 inch metal duct run to the outside.
- 3
Attach the transition
Screw the 8 inch (or optional 10 inch) round transition to the top outlet with the M5 screws.
- 4
Cut the cabinet
Cut openings in the cabinet bottom for the transition and power, and drill pilot holes to match the hood.
- 5
Mount and connect
With two people, lift the hood and screw it to the cabinet and wall studs (wood screws not included). Connect and tape the duct.
- 6
Finish
Plug in, test, then install the grease tunnel and the three baffle filters.
We sell the hood, not the install
We don't install. A contractor, with an electrician for the power, should follow the maker's manual. Questions while you plan? Call us at (508) 419-4276.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an 8 inch or 10 inch duct?
8 inch round is the minimum and gives up to 1000 CFM. Victory rates the Venice at 1200 CFM with a 10 inch duct, and recommends 10 inch for long runs.
How high above the cooktop should it go?
Victory's manual says 28 to 36 inches from the cooktop to the bottom of the hood.
How do I clean the filters?
The three stainless baffle filters and the grease tunnel lift out. Victory's manual says to clean them about every 30 hours of use with a degreaser.
Does it plug in?
Yes, it comes with a wire and plug. It needs a 120V outlet on its own 15 amp circuit, checked by an electrician.
What bulbs does it use?
It uses six GU10 bulbs that dim with the light knob. Replacement GU10 bulbs are common at hardware stores.
